WORK EXPERIENCE
Guillermo began his professional career in September 1999 at the multinational Law Firm Deloitte Asesores Tributarios (a member Firm of Deloitte), where he gained a large experience in Corporate Tax advice and international tax planning during the seven years he worked at such Law Firm. He focused as well in the tax planning of cross – border transactions, in the tax advice to expats and directives seconded to Spain, and tax audit.
In the year 2005 he became the head of the tax department of the Spanish Law Firm Echecopar Abogados, where he widened his professional background to the knowledge of corporate law and litigation.
In January 2008 he was selected to assume the main technical tasks of the tax department at the Madrid office of the Anglo – French Law Firm Salans, where he developed his professional career until the year 2010, when he became a member of the tax department of Mavens.
At present, he concentrates on tax law and his main expertise lays in tax advisory services both to Spanish and foreign based companies in relation with direct and indirect taxation. He has practice in litigation against the Spanish Tax Authorities and has gained a wide experience over his twelve years’ professional practice in M&A, international tax planning, implementation of tax efficient structures and in tax planning of cross – border activities and inbound / outbound investments. He has gained a wide experience over the last year the analysis and resolution of tax issues dealing with the renewable energies industry, as our main clients belong to such industry.
